Director of Pharmacy

Hours: Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday/Sunday 8am-4pm.
Description: As the Staffing Director of Pharmacy you will fill orders as well as be responsible for all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for the continued growth, development, and implementation operational systems that support safe delivery of pharmaceutical care.
Facility: BridgePoint Hospital Capitol Hill Campus is a Long Term Acute Care hospital with an ICU and OR services that provides 60 beds in private rooms for extended stay critical care patients. Patient care and recovery are overseen by an incredible staff of well-trained healthcare professionals and support personnel. The hospital has 24 hour In-House Physician, Nursing and Respiratory Therapy coverage. Management of the pharmacy has been outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services. In addition after hours order entry services are provided by Comprehensive Pharmacy Services Remote Solutions.
Pharmacy: The long term acute care hospital pharmacy is centrally located on the same floor as the patients. Pharmacy currently uses Omnicell and CPSI and prepares TPN's in house using hospital approved protocols.

-Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD)
-Current DC license in good standing or ability to obtain one
-3+ years clinical pharmacist experience in a hospital pharmacy
-Leadership experience in a hospital pharmacy preferred
-Pharmacy operations experience a plus
-Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions and respond to client concerns
-Experience with Joint Commission, Clinical, Purchasing and Operations preferred
-Ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS, hospital and pharmacy staff
-Strong organizational skills
