Director of Pharmacy – Full Time 30 hours/week

As a full time Director of Pharmacy with Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) at Unity Medical and Surgical Hospital, you will enter orders, conduct clinical screenings of patients, conduct home medication review, review charges & case numbers, in addition to overseeing all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal regulations. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs.
As a CPS Director of Pharmacy you will have a full support team available to you for regulatory, safety, compliance, clinical, operations, and more, while supervising a pharmacy staff of 3 Pharmacists (2 full time, 1 per diem) and 2 full time Pharmacy Technicians. This Director works varying weekdays/hours and shares on call with another full time pharmacist.
Facility: Unity Medical & Surgical Hospital is a HFAP accredited, 29-bed inpatient/outpatient surgical hospital. UMSH is a physician owned, state-of-the-art hospital recently rated #1 and is the most recommended hospital in Michiana according to medicare.gov. Our patient focused team of highly trained specialists include orthopedic, ophthalmology, pain management, and spine surgery. The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 7am-5pm and flexes with surgery volumes. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS).

- Current Indiana pharmacist license in good standing
- Minimum of 3 years recent hospital pharmacy experience that has included clinical responsibilities
- Experience directly managing other pharmacy staff including making hiring decisions and performance management
