This “Clinical Guru” will own metrics for metabolic monitoring, creatinine clearances, therapeutic interchanges, adverse drug reactions, medication events, processing non-formulary drug requests and invalid order monitoring and write a quarterly process improvement report. In addition to precepting pharmacy students, providing psychopharmocology lectures to PA students, leading patient medication groups, providing leadership to pharmacy teammates, creating and delivering a pharmacy orientation to hospital employees you will also staff around 30% to keep you from getting “rusty”. You will also be on a rotating on call schedule with the other pharmacists. For an extra challenge you will help the Director move to EHR (CoCentrix/Ascend) in 2017.
You will work at Riverview in Augusta 4 days per week and at Dorothea Dix in Bangor one day per week.
Riverview Psychiatric Center is a 92 bed acute care inpatient psychiatric hospital operated by the State of Maine. Riverview treats any referred and appropriate adult who require intensive 24-hour psychiatric services. Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center is a 51 bed psychiatric hospital serving two-thirds of the State's geographic area that provides services for people with severe mental illness.
