The Miami Cancer Institute at Baptist Health will provide our patients with seamless care from all of our healthcare professionals under one roof. Our brand new, state-of-the-art Institute is fully functional and brings with it a world of opportunities. Imagine adding your talents to the world-class staff of the Miami Cancer Institute — a cornerstone of the future of cancer care, featuring: • A 305,000 sq. ft. clinical facility combined with a 90,000 sq. ft. research center • The first facility in South Florida (and one of few nationally) to offer innovative proton therapy • Comprehensive cancer care (from research and prevention to detection and treatment) • Special programs for patient, family and community support
We will be the first in South Florida — and among only a handful in the nation — to offer proton therapy. Our comprehensive clinical service offerings will also include:
bone marrow transplant
radiation therapies including standard radiation, TomoTherapy, Gamma Knife and CyberKnife® stereotactic radio surgery, in addition to proton therapy.
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Miami Cancer Institute have begun a dynamic and forward-thinking collaboration aimed at improving patient access to the latest and most effective cancer treatment advances and the highest caliber of cancer care.
The selected candidate will work closely with IT and Medical Director Informatics to create DCWs, as well as optimize and maintain large library of Cerner Oncology Powerplans.
Bachelors Degree required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
Pharmacy Practice Residency (or) Board Certification of Pharmacy Specialty (BCPS) preferred.
Each Pharmacy Practice Residency counts for 1 years of experience. If not Board Certified by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties, on a yearly basis completes the required competencies for evaluation as well as the pre-requisites for Senior Clinical Staff Pharmacists, which may include didactic and hands on educational activities at induction and yearly thereafter.
Experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
Experience with mixing Chemotherapy drugs preferred.
Must understand the pharmacy systems including pharmnet, dose edge, Powerchart.
Previous experience with Cerner preferred.
