The College of Pharmacy at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) invites applications for a non-tenure or tenure track calendar year appointment in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. This position is located at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City and requires expertise in oncology. This position is fully funded by the university (it is not co-funded by Mercy). Based on applicant interest and facility needs, this position could be inpatient, outpatient, or a combination.
Candidates must possess a Pharm.D., PGY2 residency training or equivalent clinical experience in the area of oncology, and be eligible for licensure in Oklahoma. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience rotations. The successful candidate is expected to develop a role-modeling clinical practice at an affiliated institution. Clinical faculty members also contribute to the campus based team-taught didactic therapeutics and pharmaceutical care laboratory courses. Service activities to the College of Pharmacy, host institution and profession are expected. Tenure-track clinical faculty members shall also engage in scholarly activities. Rank is dependent on qualifications. Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The anticipated starting date is July 2019.

The faculty position is located in Oklahoma City. The College of Pharmacy has 13 Pharmacy Practice faculty members throughout Oklahoma City, as well as 6 other Practice faculty in the Tulsa and Weatherford areas. The main campus of SWOSU, a university with an enrollment of about 5,000 students, located in Weatherford, Oklahoma, is about one hour west of Oklahoma City. The College has approximately 85 students in each of the four professional program years. Mercy Hospital is a 380-bed regional referral facility that also houses a state-of-the art cancer treatment center which opened in 2016.
