As a full time, exempt Clinical Pharmacy Manager with Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) at East Jefferson General Hospital, you are responsible for planning, implementing, supervising and maintaining the pharmacy's clinical program in order to improve patient outcomes and ensure safe, cost effective drug therapy. The position is also responsible for participation in the appropriate hospital committees and for the clinical education and orientation of the professional staff. Recommends innovations in the practice and functions of the pharmacy and works with the Pharmacy Director and Administration. Current clinical services include pharmacokinetic dosing, IV to PO, antimicrobial stewardship & anticoagulation programs, MUEs and Chemotherapy investigational studies. Clinical goals include decentralization of Pharmacists in the Emergency Room and Critical Care units, cost savings through clinical initiatives and strengthening the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency program. This position is scheduled to work full time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, from 8am-4:30pm with occasional on call, based upon business needs.

The Pharmacy is centralized, and provides pharmacy services 24/7. Pharmacy utilizes CPOE, bedside bar code scanning and Pyxis 4000. There 43 FTE staff members in the pharmacy.

Required Qualifications: - PharmD degree - Current LA pharmacist license in good standing or ability to obtain one - Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program - 2 year's recent experience as a clinical pharmacist in an inpatient hospital setting
