Sanford Medical Center Fargo is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center with numerous medical and pharmacy service lines. The individual in this position will have an emphasis in daytime clinical informatics duties, with a pharmacist staffing component including an every 4th weekend rotation. Primary responsibilities include supporting the use and integration of data, information, knowledge, technology, and automation in the medication-use process for the purpose of improving health outcomes during the clinical care of patients. This position will also maintain key processes and collaborate with the Lead Informatics Pharmacist in defining and addressing relevant clinical informatics issues. Under direction from the pharmacy management team, day-to-day workflow will involve analysis of current and future user inquiries, workflow, procedures, and problems to develop automation and solutions to improve and support efficient patient care operations. Participation in interdisciplinary teams related to medication management, safety, technology and systems will be routine. Completion of a PGY2 Informatics Residency or equivalent training/experience preferred.
License must be in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. Must have a thorough knowledge of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local regulations. Hospital experience or residency preferred.
