Fellows serve as Instructors in the Department of Pharmacy Practice for a two-year appointment. The fellowship component includes service and learning experiences in such areas as clinical practice, pharmacy administration, academic experiences, and research. Six 4-week rotations over the two-year program in these areas are required. The rotations are selected based on candidate interest and site availability. Enrollment and acceptance into the MS degree is a requirement for this position.
The program is designed for those interested in developing expertise in medication and health outcomes, community health services, governmental health programs and benefits, and higher education in preparation for a career in practice, academia, public health, or the health care industry. Fellows will earn a teaching certificate as a part of the program. The M.S. degree requires completion of a thesis. A Pharm.D. with residency, or equivalent experience is required. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in California.
Candidates must have a Pharm.D. and be eligible for licensure in California and complete that process by September, 2019. There are two of these positions.
