Clinical Staff Pharmacists at UPMC Pinnacle practice in both central and decentralized/unit-based settings. Pharmacy practice is supported by state-of-the-art technologies. Candidates will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses and fellow pharmacy staff to provide care to the patients. Daily activities include but are not limited to: 1.) Drug Therapy Monitoring, 2.) Clinical verification of POE orders, 3.) Implementation of pharmacy protocols for renal dosing, vancomycin/aminoglycoside dosing and IV to PO conversion, 4.) Direct to patient communication about medications and side-effects, and 5.) Sterile IV Admixture and Chemotherapy Preparation
This position requires eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania and experience in a progressive hospital setting.
