Clinical Pharmacists at UPMC Pinnacle practice in both central and decentralized/unit-based settings. Pharmacy practice is supported by state-of-the-art technologies. Infusion pharmacist candidates will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses and fellow pharmacy staff to provide care to outpatient infusion and oncology patients. Functions of this position include but are not limited to: 1.) Chemotherapy or infusion regimen review, optimization and verification, 2.) Provision of drug information to providers, nurses and patients and 3.) Oversight of chemotherapy and other medication preparation and dispensing.
This position requires eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania. Experience in an oncology infusion setting is required. Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency and prior hospital experience is preferred.
