Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) in Detroit, Michigan is seeking a board certified Nuclear Pharmacist to supervise and oversee Radiopharmacy operations. The Division of Nuclear Medicine offers full service diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including participation in a variety of multicenter clinical trials with both IND and established radiopharmaceuticals. The Division has 13 gamma cameras (5SPECT/CT) and one PET-CT unit at 3 sites which perform over 16,000 studies annually including therapeutic procedures. The Division is staffed with 26 technologists and student technologists, with 3 having extensive experience in Radiopharmacy.
Responsibilities for this position include:
Overseeing Radiopharmacy operations (including diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals
Training technologists, technologist students, residents, and fellows
Overseeing medication administration in the Department of Radiology
Functioning as the liaison to the Department of Pharmacy at Henry Ford Hospital
These responsibilities include overseeing contrast agent ADR reporting, and compiling data for the Departments of Radiology and Pharmacy
Oversee submission of research involving radiotracers to the IRB and maintain records related to these research activities.
Maintain compliance with relevant state and federal regulations pertaining to Radiopharmacy.
Must have completed a nuclear pharmacy certificate program.
Must have Authorized Nuclear Pharmacist Training and Experience and Preceptor Attestation [NRC Form 313A (ANP)].
BCNP or eligible for board certification in nuclear pharmacy preferred.
Must hold a degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Michigan.
Must be able to work with nuclear medicine technologists, residents, and fellows at the graduate-professional and postgraduate levels.
Possess experience and/or an interest in evaluating and using investigational radiopharmaceuticals or novel uses of existing radiopharmaceuticals.
