Our department consists of 26 pharmacists and 22 technicians, with advanced and specialized skills in specific areas. We use new and cutting-edge distribution technology to manage our drug inventory throughout the hospital. Our pharmacy practice model includes a decentralized clinical pharmacy program, with emphasis on physician-pharmacist collaborative practice; critical care; antimicrobial stewardship; oncology services; care transitions and community engagement. Our goal is to always provide our patients with comprehensive and highly individualized care.

In the past 2 years, we have expanded our pharmacy critical care services to be a true intensivist extender in our ICU and CVICU areas. We are looking for a critical care specialist to build and expand our current high level of pharmaceutical care.
Key Responsibilities include: Providing acute intensive pharmaceutical care services in collaboration with other health professionals. Promoting high quality, evidence-based, cost-effective care. Managing patient drug therapy, providing patient education, and performing duties in other clinical areas as required and assigned.
Additional responsibilities include pharmacy consults/clinical interventions, interdisciplinary rounding, integrated support, departmental leadership, preceptorship of pharmacy residents and students to further professional growth. Participating in multidisciplinary hospital committees and taking leadership roles in departmental clinical education and research activities. External presentation, publication, and professional speaking is strongly encouraged and supported.

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharmacy Doctorate Degree
Completion of an ASHP Critical Care PGY-2 or BPS Board Certified Critical Care Pharmacist or equivalent clinical experience providing direct patient critical pharmaceutical care
