Under the direction of the Director, Acute Clinical Pharmacy Programs, the scope and breath of responsibility for the Clinical Coordinator, Pharmacy Services will include direct oversight of Geisinger clinical pharmacy programs for their assigned campus(es). This Clinical Coordinator will directly conduct planning, development, implementation and supervision of comprehensive drug therapy management programs for Geisinger. This will include the provision of pharmaceutical care, clinical program development, staff development, and data analysis to assess the outcomes associated with such programs. Additionally, will oversee the management of day-to-day operations of pharmacy areas at their designated campus(es) and provide Clinical Pharmacist services as required.
The Clinical Coordinator, Pharmacy Services must possess excellent consultation, communication and interpersonal skills including, empathy and the ability to educate patients, pharmacy staff, and providers. The Clinical Coordinator must be able to work with others in a team-based environment and teach and reinforce communication skills and patient education skills. The Clinical Coordinator should constantly seek to identify and take advantage of opportunities to improve the health and wellness of the patients served by Geisinger in conjunction with the overall goals and objectives of the System.

Mutually agreed upon goals and objectives will be established and reviewed on a yearly basis
Works under the general direction of the Director, Acute Clinical Pharmacy Programs in collaboration with Regional Directors of Pharmacy and Assistant Directors, Clinical Coordinators, and Assistant Director(s), Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Programs.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college and current licensure or eligibility for licensure by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy required. In the absence of a PharmD, a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy with appropriate clinical pharmacy experience will substitute.
Pharmacy Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) residency experience preferred. Four years of clinical pharmacy practice experience required. Graduation from PGY1 residency program will be counted as 2 years of clinical experience.
Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or other specialty preferred.
