Manage the operational, clinical, financial and personnel activities of the inpatient pharmacy department.
Provide support for the day-to-day provision of clinical and distributive services through effective management of pharmacy staff with considerations of budget, workload, and productivity.
Revise, create and implement policies and procedures related to pharmacy operational activities to maintain University of Missouri Health Care’s compliance with standards of The Joint Commission, CMS, DHSS, BNDD, DEA, EPA and all other regulatory agencies. Monitors staff compliance with policies and procedures.
Responsible for interviewing, selecting, evaluating, coaching, counseling and progressive discipline of pharmacy staff.
Coordination of pharmacy staff development plans and competency assessment programs.
Responsible for developing, communicating and enforcing health system and departmental policies and procedures.
Requires completion of PGY1 residency or five or more years experience as a hospital pharmacist; Must have three (3) or more years of supervisory or manager experience; Prefer a master’s degree (MHA, MBA). PGY2 administrative residency is preferred.
Requires current State of Missouri licensure as a Pharmacist.
