Residency Program Coordinator / Clinical Staff Pharmacist, Full-Time, Days
We are seeking a Residency Program Coordinator / Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM.
This is a dual role split between Residency Program Coordinator and Clinical Staff Pharmacist positions.
This full-time job is located at Lovelace Medical Center in the heart of Albuquerque. We are an acute care hospital providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, cardiology, stroke care, radiology and oncology services, including the state’s only Gamma Knife Center for non-invasive radiologic brain surgery.
Residency Program Coordinator / Clinical Staff Pharmacist Responsibilities and Duties:
The Pharmacy Residency Program Site Coordinator (RPSC) is responsible for developing, coordinating, establishing, and evaluating the pharmaceutical PGY1 residency program under the direction of the Residency Program Director (RPD).
The RPSC assists in the selection and supervision of all PGY1 residents and promotes a constructive work environment to facilitate the fulfillment of the residency competencies, goals, and objectives.
The RPSC provides support to all clinical staff in implementing and maintaining clinical programs and assuring compliance with American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) accreditation standards and compliance with CMS GME pass through funding requirements.
The RPSC should demonstrate desire to educate and work closely with students, residents, clinical staff, and hospital staff.
Responsible for educating healthcare professionals and patients on medication use, as well as compounding and dispensing prescribed medications for patient care. Performs professional and technical activities associated with the distribution of medications, the maintenance of drug inventory, patient records and patient financial records.
Residency Program Coordinator / Clinical Staff Pharmacist Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum: Pharm D. and completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency followed by a minimum of two year of pharmacy practice experience OR completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency followed by an ASHP PGY2 residency and a minimum of one year of pharmacy practice experience OR have five or more years pharmacy practice experience.
Clinical experience; Supervisory experience; Ability to plan, develop and coordinate multiple projects. Ability to identify and resolve problems; Ability to motivate and influence people and analyze and interpret clinical and financial data. Advanced information systems and technology skills.
Current License to practice Pharmacy in the State of NM
