As an Oncology Pharmacist Supervisor, you’ll coordinate the drug therapy process for a varied oncology patient population to assure safe and effective drug therapy outcomes. Pharmacy responsibilities will include drug selection, drug information, monitoring, outcomes management, and patient education/counseling.
Qualified Oncology Pharmacist Supervisors will possess:
Current CT pharmacist license
Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification in oncology highly preferred or BCOP eligible
Residency in oncology or equivalent experience as clinical pharmacist in oncology practice setting; PGY1 or PGY2 residency in oncology or 5 years of experience in oncology preferred
Independent decision-making, clinical judgment, and an in-depth knowledge of oncology and therapeutics
Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians to insure all activities are within legal limits, regulatory requirements, and patient-safe
