Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
PICU and Cardiovascular ICU float
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Adult Internal Medicine (to serve The Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women).
Texas Children's Hospital has 5 open Clinical Pharmacy Specialist positions. Each position is responsible for managing and promoting activities to ensure a safe and effective medication use process for the designated medical specialty, providing direct patient care activities to promote optimal drug therapy and resolve medication use problems in a manner developmentally appropriate for the ages of patients served (0-adult), and serving as mentor to staff pharmacists who provide services to their designated medical specialty.
Participation in quality improvement initiatives and research endeavors
Performing medication use evaluations and assisting with formulary management
Participation in clinical on-call activities
Managing clinical implications of drug shortages
Participation in the creation and maintenance of evidence based guidelines
Serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students and pharmacy residents
RPh or PharmD AND
Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency AND 4 years of clinical practice post-residency completion OR
Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency AND completion of a PGY2 Pharmacy Residency
