Job Summary: The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor operates under the direction of the System Pharmacy Technician Manager with professional oversight from the System VP, Pharmacy. The position supervises the technical and human resource components of the pharmacy technicians and provides day-to-day support for all technician activities including the preparation, dispensing, charging, and delivery of medications to patients. In addition, this Supervisor plays an integral part with the overall daily operations of the Pharmacy including quality of sterile products. Patients served include Neonate through Adult-Geriatric.
Some previous supervisor or leadership experience.
Minimum of five years health-system pharmacy experience.
Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained and maintained including required continuing education credits.
Extensive knowledge and complete understanding of all facets of health-system pharmacy.
Currently enrolled in a Master's Degree in a health care related program.
