Associate Dean for Practice/Chief Practice Officer
The College of Pharmacy at the University of Kentucky seeks to grow its clinical practice portfolio and expand its practice advancement efforts in the non-inpatient settings, with a particular focus on elevating care for patient populations with poor access to care. To that end, we are recruiting a 12-month Clinical title series faculty member (non-tenured track) to act as the Associate Dean for Practice/Chief Practice Officer.
The Associate Dean for Practice/Chief Practice Officer (CPO) will develop and implement novel and innovative practice models in the non-inpatient setting that improve patient outcomes and access to care. He/she will develop and maintain strategic pharmacy practice partnerships with internal and external constituents, provide leadership to the College's clinical faculty, and lead the College's pharmacy residency initiatives. The CPO will participate in the College's Executive Council, advising the Dean on practice-related issues.
The CPO will be expected to be fully engaged in patient care approximately one day per week in an appropriate setting. He/she will be expected to produce peer-reviewed publications addressing pharmacy practice model development and/or a specific area of practice, and to participate in other scholarly activities including external grant submission and external presentations. The CPO will be actively involved in teaching, primarily in the Doctor of Pharmacy program.
All candidates must possess a Pharm D or R.Ph. and have a license in the state of Kentucky (or ability to obtain a license.) Preference will be given to candidates desiring to practice in settings working with high health disparity and/or vulnerable patient populations.
Application materials should include the following:
Current curriculum vitae
Practice philosophy (upload under Specific Request 1)
Teaching statement (upload under Specific Request 2)
Contact information for three references when prompted in the application
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Following a preliminary review of application materials, letters of reference may be requested from the candidates.
