Highlands Behavioral health is an innovative, 86-bed hospital offering comprehensive psychiatric care for adults and adolescents. Census averages 70 beds. Located in Highlands with easy access to major highways and surrounding communities.
The Pharmacy is open weekdays and holidays from 8:00am-4:00pm, and weekends from 12:00pm-4:00pm. There is a night locker for after hours. The pharmacy fills approximately 200 orders per day. Orders are filled manually. In addition to the Director, there is a per diem staff consisting of 6 Pharmacists, 3 technicians and an intern. The per diem staff work on an as needed basis. The Pharmacy is managed by Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) and all pharmacy staff are employees of CPS.
This Director of Pharmacyat Highlands Behavioral has staffing as well as managerial responsibilities. We'll rely on you to fill orders as well as oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling and supervising activities in the hospital pharmacy according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and State and Federal laws. You'll recommend innovations in the practice and function of the hospital pharmacy to Administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs.
You'll need the ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns and work cooperatively with other members of Comprehensive Pharmacy Services and hospital staff. You'll be on-call 24-7 and will come in when there are no other options for procuring medications.

Pharmacy Degree (BS or PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy
Colorado Pharmacist license in good standing
Current or recent experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital or retail setting
Demonstrated skill in providing good customer servic
