Health System Director of Pharmacy Lafayette General Hospital Lafayette, Louisiana
As a full time, exempt, Health System Director of Pharmacy with Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) at Lafayette General Hospital, you are you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws at the main hospital campus, as well as provide oversight to the Pharmacy leaders at the other hospitals in the Lafayette General Health System. You will also recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with the assistance of an Assistant Director, Clinical Manager, Buyer, Medication Assistant/340B Coordinator, 20 Pharmacists and 24 Pharmacy Technicians. As Director of Pharmacy with CPS you will have a full support team available to you including a Regional Manager, Regional Clinical Director, Regulatory Specialist, Drug Information Specialist, Finance Director and more. This position is scheduled to work full time, day shift Monday-Friday,with on call
Facility: Lafayette General Medical Center (LGMC), community owned and managed, is the largest full-service, acute-care medical center in the nine-parish area of Acadiana. This facility staffs 342 beds with an average daily census of roughly 300 patients. LGMC is Joint Commission accredited and boasts a Center of Excellence in Breast Imaging, has an Accredited Cancer Center, an accredited Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery program and is an Advanced Certified Primary Stroke Center, and is a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction Center in Maternity Care and in Bariatrics, located in the heart of Lafayette. Services include a 34-bed adult intensive care unit (ICU) is staffed 24/7 by intensivists (physicians specializing in critical care), and a 31-bed neonatal intensive care unit. The centralized pharmacy is open and provides pharmacy services 24/7. CPS has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of the pharmacy.
