The Riverside University Health System Medical Center is recruiting a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist who will serve as the pharmacotherapy expert in the intensive care units, participate in multidisciplinary critical care and surgical intensive care rounds, and manage all aspects of pharmaceutical care of patients admitted to the intensive care units..
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Review existing practices and propose changes based on current best practice standards.
Assist in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures.
Prepare and conduct formal and informal presentations for health care providers.
Participate in training programs for other health care providers and performance improvement activities as required.
Participates in departmental and medical center committees and provide input and guidance to Pharmacy Director as needed.
Participate in departmental QI and medication use evaluation activities.
Serve as a critical care preceptor for PGY-1 pharmacy residents and pharmacy students.
Education: PharmD and PGY-2 Critical Care Specialty Residency
Experience: PGY-2 Critical Care Specialty Residency or 6 years’ experience practicing in the intensive care setting in a full-time capacity.
