Vidant Health, a premier, mission-driven, not-for-profit, award-winning, academic 8-hospital system based in Greenville, NC, announces a national search for a Vice President, Operations- Ancillary Services. This newly created system-level Vice President will serve as the health system’s top strategic and operational leader tasked with driving innovative and market-leading growth strategies and ensuring high-quality care and systemness for Pharmacy, Radiology, and Laboratory Services across Vidant Health’s 300 sites of care.
Reporting to the System COO & President of Vidant Medical Center (900-bed flagship hospital), the Vice President will lead a new corporate division and champion centralized approaches with standardized processes and performance measures to assure exceptional care delivery and experience for every patient, staff member, and physician. Simultaneously, the Vice President will craft a future entrepreneurial vision for these critical services that will challenge the status quo and will pursue key strategic partnerships while enhancing service delivery and contribution to the long-term success and vitality of Vidant Health.

Vidant Health is a mission-driven, 1,447-bed academic health system that annually serves more than 1.4 million people in 29 eastern North Carolina counties. The not-for-profit system is made up of more than 12,000 employees, eight hospitals, home health, hospice, wellness centers, and Vidant Medical Group, a multispecialty physician group with 500+ primary and specialty providers in over 90 practice sites. Vidant Health is affiliated with The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and currently trains 2,500 students in a variety of fields including nursing and allied health. VMC employs and trains 300+ residents in 14 programs and 80 fellows in 20 programs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A Master’s Degree is required; ideally seeking a Pharmacist with an MHA and/or MBA
8-10 years of progressive leadership ideally gained in a multi-hospital health system with experience leading Pharmacy operations and strategy, plus either Laboratory or Radiology leadership experience
Strong operational and financial management skills, coupled with strategic development skills and specific expertise in 340B, retail, and specialty pharmacy
Demonstrated growth and business development acumen as well as system experience
