Allergan and the University of Washington are pleased to offer two, 2-year Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research (GHEOR) Fellowship positions for 2020-2022. Fellows will spend their first year at the University of Washington (Seattle, WA) School of Pharmacy, and the second year at Allergan (Irvine, CA).
The objective of the first year is to educate fellows on the principles and methods used in health economics and outcomes research. During the second year, fellows are provided with opportunities to gain practical knowledge and experience with the use of clinical, economic, and humanistic data by supporting the development and commercialization of pharmaceutical products. This will be accomplished by participating in work activities undertaken by the GHEOR team.
The fellow will earn a Master’s degree during the first year of the fellowship at the University of Washington (Seattle, Washington) School of Pharmacy, one of the nation's leading schools of pharmacy. The fellow will take graduate courses within the school’s Comparative Health Outcomes, Policy, and Economics (CHOICE) Institute. The CHOICE Institute is part of a broader health sciences network that includes top-rated programs in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Medicine, and Public Health.
Compensation includes a competitive stipend, basic medical insurance, conference attendance, full tuition coverage for the MS program, relocation from Seattle to Irvine, and holiday/vacation time. A Master’s (MS) Degree is awarded upon completion of all course requirements and thesis project.
