Legacy Health is proud to offer two positions for a one-year PGY2 specialty residency in ambulatory care.
This specialty residency will focus on providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a variety of multidisciplinary ambulatory settings. Residents will train in four primary care clinics using collaborative drug therapy management agreements for a variety of disease states, including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, asthma, COPD, heart failure, depression and smoking cessation. Additional rotations include transitions of care, transplant, population health, and a longitudinal staffing rotation in a primary care clinic. Non-clinical experiences include leadership and medication safety. Residents have the opportunity to pursue a teaching certificate through a program co-sponsored by the two local colleges of pharmacy, as well as precept a PGY1 resident or pharmacy student.
Residents who successfully complete the program will possess the competencies that qualify them for clinical pharmacist and/or faculty positions and position them to be eligible for attainment of board certification in ambulatory care practice.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy. Completion of an accredited PGY1 (Postgraduate Year One) pharmacy residency program prior to start date.
Licensure/Certification: Current Registered Pharmacist license (RPh) for applicable state required within 4 months of hire. In instances where the resident starts without being licensed in Oregon, an Oregon pharmacy intern license must be in place.
