The Pharmacy Business & Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for overseeing, setting direction and coordinating the business and technology activities of the Moffitt Cancer Center Department of Pharmacy. They will work collaboratively as a member of the Pharmacy Leadership team in strategic planning, project management and review of new departmental initiatives. Conducts detailed programmatic analysis for all existing services. Assists in the development of department budgets. Monitors budget performance continuously and tracks reasons for budget variances to be reported to the CPO. Works with pharmacy leadership and finance department in the preparation of statistical volume, operating revenue, drug inflation projections and expense calculations. Coordinates components of the pharmacy revenue cycle to promote revenue assurance in collaboration with the Moffitt Revenue Integrity and associated teams (i.e. registration and scheduling, documentation and coding, claims submission, prior authorization processes and denials avoidance. Leads due diligence monitoring for pharmacy revenue cycle management to support formulary and utilization standardization efforts. Identifies and resolves barriers with pharmacy revenue cycle operations such as changes to prices, J-codes or other modifiers, package size changes, or care-site-specific reimbursement. Supports and oversees pharmacy accuracy audits such as purchasing data, charge summary, organizational formulary and chargemaster. Models and frames business scenarios/uses cases that are meaningful and which impact on critical business processes and/or decisions. Oversees purchasing functions across the enterprise including direct supervision of buyers, business technician, contract opportunity identification and negotiation. Supervises the Pharmacy Informatics team and collaborates with Pharmacy Management Team to prioritize competing demands for informatics tasks.
Credentials and Qualifications:
Pharm D or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required.
Florida licensure as a Registered Pharmacist required.
Five years or more experience in Revenue Cycle, Healthcare Data Management, or Healthcare Operations.
Experience in mid-management or consulting roles in hospital pharmacy.
Experience with software platforms supporting financial management.
Experience with purchasing practices (including determination of needs, selection of items, bid letting and stores management) sufficient to maintain procedures and purchasing programs.
Computer applications including Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint).
Ability to perform sophisticated business analyses of data with the capability of designing and preparing extensive financial reports.
Experience in contract development and negotiation and to monitor compliance with contracts.
