Schedule: This is a full time 40 hour a week position.
As a Director of Pharmacy at McLaren Thumb Region in Bad Axe, MI you will manage and direct the activities of the of the Pharmacy. Management responsibilities will include developing, implementing and monitoring compliance with departmental policies and procedures. Maintenance of a system for staff development and evaluation to ensure regulatory compliance to promote optimal patient care will be a cornerstone to success. Responsibilities will also involve developing and maintaining a system of financial and inventory control according to hospital standards, including preparation, submission and administration of an annual departmental budget. As well as, oversee departmental participation in various hospital committees to ensure appropriate representation (including, but not limited to, Infection Control Committee, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Safety Committee).
About the Facility: McLaren Thumb Region Hospital is a 64 bed acute care hospital in Huron County which provides comprehensive services at the hospital, specialty Clinics and has Associations with: Seton Cancer Institute, St. Mary's Hospital of Michigan and Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital making McLaren Thumb Region Hospital a certified Pink Ribbon Facility, a distinction awarded only to an elite group of healthcare facilities. It's the only hospital in the tri-county area (Huron, Sanilac, and Tuscola) providing obstetrical services. The Emergency Department is open 24/7 and is staffed with onsite Emergency Medicine physicians and experienced emergency room staff. Pharmacy Systems, Inc. (PSI) Manages of the pharmacy at McLaren Thumb Region Hospital and this position is an employee of PSI, and has access to PSI clinical and operations resources.
Required Qualifications :
BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in the state of Michigan
Management experience in a healthcare/hospital inpatient environment.
Adept at 340B utilization.
Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility.
Demonstrated teaching, relevant professional publications and involvement with Professional organizations.
Deal effectively with change.
