Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) is a large free-standing pediatric teaching institution in the Denver metro area. We have a high acuity with a. level I trauma center and a level IV NICU as well as all pediatric subspecialties and maternal fetal medicine. We have 35 primary preceptors that cover our acute care and ambulatory care units. Our residents and preceptors are expected to publish, present and teach locally and nationally.
We have three PGY2 pediatric pharmacy residents per year with 2 positions reserved for early commitment (as applicable) and one position reserved for the ASHP match. Our PGY2 pediatric pharmacy residency program at CHCO is a flexible program designed to build on the experiences gained in the PGY1 year. We allow residents to sub specialize their year depending on their PGY1 experience in one of the following areas: critical care, infectious disease, oncology and ambulatory care. We also offer unique rotations such as several different pediatric ambulatory care subspecialties, psychiatry, neurology, pain management, medication safety, leadership and more!
Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or a candidate have passed an equivalent examination and will be eligible for licensure
Graduate of an ASHP accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program
Must be eligible for pharmacist licensure in the State of Colorado
