Leads a diverse team with the purpose of improving medication use. Develops system standards and programs to maintain compliance within a complex, highly-regulated environment. This includes, but is not limited to, the thoughtful standardization of sterile and non-sterile product compounding practices across Spectrum Health Delivery System and oversight of the controlled substance diversion monitoring program. Oversees the development and maintenance of pharmacy training, education, and development programs. Uses in-depth knowledge of industry trends and data analytics to prioritize opportunities for improvement and develop appropriate plans for execution. Coordinates formulary management activities across the Spectrum Health Delivery System. Oversees the standardization and maintenance of pharmacy policies and procedures. Works collaboratively with clinical/nursing leadership, physician leadership, and pharmacy personnel to implement programs and systems in support of Spectrum Health strategic initiatives.
Basic Qualifications: Education - Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy Experience - 3 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in Working in pharmacy for a large healthcare system or post graduate year 1 training (PGY1 residency) Licenses - Pharmacist, Licensed in the State of Michigan within 90 days Pharmacist Control Substance license within 90 days Preferred Qualifications: Education - Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or other related field Experience - 5 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in Working in a leadership position or post graduate year 2 training (PGY2 residency) 3 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in health system management experience Licenses - Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties certification
