The LIU Pharmacy – Fellowship in Pharmacogenomics/Precision Medicine offers PharmD graduates the exceptional opportunity to develop skills in the field of precision medicine with a focus on pharmacogenomics. The Fellow will gain expertise through hands-on experiences in both clinical and research aspects of this dynamic area of pharmacy. The Fellow will participate in and contribute to a range of activities from bench research to clinical practice and clinical research.
The Fellow will be based at LIU-Pharmacy, located in Brooklyn, New York with some off-site activities in the Bronx, Long Island, and Manhattan through partnerships with RXVIP Concierge and Mount Sinai Medicine.
The Fellow will also engage in academic activities through LIU Pharmacy. The Fellow will be expected to deliver presentations/lectures at LIU Pharmacy, and will be required to partake in a research project in collaboration with members of the LIU Pharmacy faculty and/or staff. The Fellow will have the opportunity to engage in other academic activities, including mentoring LIU Pharmacy students, completing a teaching certificate program, and preparing/delivering continuing education programs through the College’s Department of Continuing Education.
This is a 24-month program that will be available July 1, 2020. The Fellow will be an employee of LIU Pharmacy.
REQUIREMENTS: Doctor of Pharmacy degree; completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency, a record of educational and professional achievement; exceptional interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Salary Information: Salary and benefits provided through LIU-Pharmacy. In addition to the base salary, a travel stipend is provided for approved travel.
