Pharmacists successfully completing a PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota will be a proficient informaticist capable of analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation of technologies that enhance medication therapy outcomes, improve pharmaceutical care, and optimize medication management supporting systems. Required experiences offered in inpatient and outpatient settings include Core Medication Use Process Technologies, Clinical Decision Support and Reporting, Analytics and Advanced Technologies, and Orders and Order Sets. Additional longitudinal rotations and electives are tailored based on the resident’s interests. A quality improvement project, research project and online staffing required.
