This is a one-year ASHP accredited PGY2 residency that provides a diverse number of experiences in cardiology.
Examples of rotations include: adult inpatient cardiology, advanced heart failure/transplant, cardiac critical care unit, cardiovascular surgery ICU, ambulatory cardiology and anticoagulation, medical ventricular assist device, research, and more.
Additional experiences include precepting and teaching at UM College of Pharmacy with an adjunct faculty appointment, research and writing projects, code blue experience, and more. We aim to prepare the resident to be a highly qualified candidate for Clinical Pharmacist, Clinical Track Faculty or Adjunct Faculty positions.
Requirements for consideration include:
PharmD with a clinical practice emphasis
A one-year residency in pharmacy practice PGY1
Good academic standing, transcript of record, letter of intent, three references, and a curriculum vitae.
An interview is required and can be scheduled between January and March
