Indiana University Arnett Hospital, located in Lafayette Indiana established a new PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program in 2018. Our program is in candidate status with ASHP and has two positions available for the upcoming year. This residency will focus on clinical services, teaching and research. Rotations offered include Orientation, Internal Medicine, Advanced Internal Medicine, Ambulatory Care, Advanced Ambulatory Care, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Advanced Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship, Administration, Oncology- Infusion Center/Precision Genomics, Cardiology, Cardiac Critical Care, Clinical Staffing, Medication Use Evaluation, Pediatrics, Research Project and Teaching Program. Our hospital is located miles from Purdue University and has a strong partnership with Purdue College of Pharmacy. Our residents will have the opportunity to participate in the Indiana Pharmacy Teaching Certificate Program (IPTeC), lecture at Purdue University, facilitate in the Purdue Patient Simulation Laboratory and assist precepting Purdue APPE rotation students. Residents will also complete a research project and present their findings at Great Lakes Pharmacy Resident Conference.
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy and be eligible for licensure in Indiana.
