The combined PGY1/PGY2/MS Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency at Grant Medical Center is a program that has been built over the last 50+ years. As one of the 12 residency programs continuously offered since 1963, you will find a large network of alumni. Grant is a 640 bed community, not for profit, teaching hospital specializing in trauma, surgery, critical care and orthopedics. However, residents will gain exposure to a true health-system environment as part of the OhioHealth care system composed of 11 member hospitals, 3 affiliate hospitals and 60+ ambulatory sites.
The combined PGY1/PGY2/MS Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital has trained pharmacy leaders for more than 40 years. Through this program you will have access to a vast network of residency alumni in leadership positions throughout the country. Riverside is a 1,080 bed non-profit, tertiary care, teaching hospital that serves as the flagship of the 11 hospital OhioHealth system. Riverside is the largest acute care hospital in Ohio and is consistently ranked as a leader in the areas of Neuroscience, Heart and Vascular care, Cancer care, Maternity and Women’s Health, Trauma, and Orthopedics.
The combined PGY1/PGY2/MS Health System Pharmacy Administration Residency at Mansfield Hospital is newly established in 2018, providing a unique opportunity for the resident to aid in the growth of the program. Mansfield Hospital is a 326 bed non-profit community hospital, and the largest medical provider between Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio. Mansfield Hospital has provided award-winning care for more than a century, serving our level II trauma center, and specializing in cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, outpatient infusion services, rehabilitation, behavioral health, and various ambulatory care clinics, classes, and services.
The OhioHealth Health-System Pharmacy Administration residents will help to develop their residency experience and direct projects towards their areas of interest, career goals and growth opportunities. As a part of the OhioHealth pharmacy leadership team, the resident will gain valuable experience with the opportunities and challenges of leading at a hospital and health-system level.
This 24-month program is offered in combination with a Master of Science (MS) in Health-System Pharmacy Administration degree from The Ohio State University. Through this program, residents will have opportunities to interact with the vast alumni network of The Ohio State University and Latiolais Leadership Program. The majority of the didactic requirements toward the degree is completed during the PGY-1 year along with a number of clinical and elective rotations. The PGY-2 is primarily focused on completing administrative rotations at a hospital and health-system level.
