The Raabe College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University is committed to preparing pharmacists for the ever-changing landscape of healthcare. We are looking for proactive, engaged, and innovative individuals to help define and shape the future of our pharmacy profession. We prepare pharmacists to serve as primary care providers, which reflects the needs of the underserved in our rural community. Successful candidates will help us meet this goal through practice and an instructional emphasis on rural healthcare delivery.
This position will have primary teaching responsibilities in the PharmD program that include classroom and experiential instruction. The individuals will establish a practice focused on providing healthcare in our rural and underserved surrounding community, which may include acute care in the institutional setting. These practices will serve as primary training facilities for our students in all 6 years of the degree program.
Hired individuals will have responsibility to contribute to the college’s mission of scholarship through collaborative, practice-based research, scholarship, and advancement of the profession through practice.
Faculty members will develop meaningful relationships with student for academic, career, and personal advising. All faculty members contribute to Department, College and University function through active participation on committees and other activities of the institution.
A PharmD degree and minimum of PGY1 residency training, or equivalent experience is required. Experience in primary care and/or health-system practice is preferred. Experience with clinical oncology and/or pediatrics is desired.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required, as is experience or interest in innovative teaching methodologies. The individual must be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Ohio. The candidate must have a commitment to undergraduate instruction in a Christian institution, and a sincere interest in the holistic development of students. A willingness and potential to contribute to the research and service missions of the college and university are essential.
