PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency
Kaiser Permanente Colorado offers a unique PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency that provides the opportunity to acquire advanced knowledge and skill in ambulatory care pharmacotherapy in an integrated care delivery system.
Mission: to train world class clinical pharmacy specialists and leaders in ambulatory care pharmacy.
Program Goal: Upon completion of this residency, the graduate will be prepared to practice as a clinical pharmacy specialist across a variety of ambulatory care settings.

Be a part of a nationally recognized team of over 100 Board certified specialists
Opportunities to complete a Research Certificate and Teaching Certificate with University of Colorado
Core Ambulatory Care Experiences
Primary Care (two rotations)
Anticoagulation Service (1 rotation)
Six-month longitudinal experience in the Cardiac Risk Service or Specialty ambulatory care clinics (neurology, osteoporosis)
Elective Ambulatory Care Experiences (Four, 6-weeks rotations offered)
Cardiology / Heart Failure
Cardiac Risk Reduction
Dermatology / Rheumatology
Hematology / Oncology
Integrated Pain Service
Doctor of Pharmacy degree
Completion of an ASHP Accredited PGY1 residency
Must be eligible for licensure in Colorado
Appointment to this program is contingent upon the resident satisfying the following requirements: passing a background check prior to starting and obtaining a Colorado pharmacist’s license within 90 days of starting the residency year

Following ASHP Midyear, interested applicants should electronically submit the following items via PhORCAS: a letter of intent (explain why an ambulatory care residency is desired, how our program will help achieve your career goals, and how you will contribute to our program), curriculum vitae, pharmacy academic transcripts, and three letters of reference utilizing the PhORCAS form.
