NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (NYPH) is a 2600+ bed tertiary care facility consisting of two primary centers affiliated with the medical colleges of Columbia and Cornell Universities. The NYPH PGY2 residency program in solid organ transplantation is a 12-month full-time post-graduate training program for practitioners who desire to advance their knowledge and skills in transplant pharmacotherapy. This ASHP accredited PGY2 program will enable the resident to gain clinical, research, and teaching experience with focus areas in kidney, liver, lung, heart, pancreas and intestinal transplantation. Required rotations include inpatient kidney transplant at Columbia, kidney transplant at Cornell, liver transplant, heart transplant, lung transplant, pediatric transplant and kidney transplant ambulatory clinic. The program is flexible and focuses on the goals of the resident, but is intended to provide a well-rounded clinical, research and teaching experience.
Qualified candidates will have a Pharm.D and a PGY1 residency or equivalent experience. Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of New York. New York State Pharmacist license must be obtained.
