The University of Illinois at Chicago seeks exceptionally well-qualified candidates for our ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency (12 positions), and for our PGY1 International Pharmacist Residency (1 position) programs. PGY1 Pharmacy residents will gain the knowledge, expertise and skills necessary to independently provide optimum pharmaceutical care in any clinical practice settings. Multiple experiential opportunities exist including, but not limited to, the areas of ambulatory care, critical care, pediatrics, medicine, transplantation, and oncology. All PGY1 Pharmacy residents will participate in the overnight in-house on-call program. Emphasis is also placed on skill development in clinical education and drug literature evaluation. PGY1 International Pharmacist residents will gain the skills and expertise necessary to advance the clinical practice education of students in foreign settings through significant experiences in internal medicine and clinical teaching. Applicants must possess a PharmD and be eligible for licensure in Illinois.
