The Takeda – Purdue U.S. Medical/Medical Science Liaison Fellowship is a two-year program designed to provide PharmDs with the opportunity to gain specialized hands-on pharmaceutical training and experience in various US Medical Affairs departments, both in-house and the field. The fellow will receive individual guidance from the Health Economics Outcomes Research, Medical Information, Scientific Communications and Scientific Publications Teams, during year one of the fellowship and the Medical Science Liaison and Account Medical Liaison teams during year two of the fellowship.
The purpose of the fellowship program is to develop trained fellows who will be prepared to take up the challenges of Corporate and Field Based Medical Affairs. This program will serve to maintain and enhance a scientific link between Takeda and Purdue University scientists; and it will aid not only the Medical Affairs strategy at Takeda, but eventually serve to advance science and education throughout the industry. Graduates of the program will have the ability to serve in important roles in the pharmaceutical industry and/or in an academic setting. The fellow will be based at the Takeda Boston site located in Cambridge, MA with frequent interactions and a rotation with Purdue University.
PharmD graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy Program
License to practice pharmacy in any state (Purdue requirement) by December 31, 2020
