This residency provides a comprehensive experience in a variety of ambulatory care settings with an emphasis in service and teaching. Core rotations include internal medicine, anticoagulation, endocrine, hepatitis C clinic, transitions of care, and APPE teaching rotation. Elective rotations include HIV clinic, abdominal/renal transplant, neurology, hematology/oncology and pain management, medication therapy management, and medical mission to the Caribbean. The resident will serve as a preceptor for PharmD students and take part in didactic teaching and facilitating a therapeutics recitation course. Additionally, the resident will be responsible for implementing a research project to be presented at local and national meetings.
To be considered, applicants must have:
• A Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school or college of pharmacy • Completed or in the process of completing an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency or possess equivalent experience • Agreed to participate in the ASHP/NMS Pharmacy Residency Match
• Letter of intent that describes your experiences to-date and your desire to practice in ambulatory care • Curriculum vitae • Official transcripts from post-secondary institutions attended • Three letters of recommendation • Must be Board-eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania
