About Univeristy of Cincinnati Winkle College of Pharmacy
Welcome to the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy! We are located on the University of Cincinnati Academic Health Center Campus with the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Allied Health, and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. As one of the oldest Colleges of Pharmacy in the United States, we have long standing relationships with community health care and pharmaceutical science partners. This provides an extensive network of experiential sites for the PharmD program right here in the tri-state area. Along with our faculty, these individuals bring clinical and scientific expertise to students in the PharmD, MS, and PhD programs and provide valuable research partnerships.
Student centered learning, community engagement, and real world experiences are central to our culture, purpose and strategic plan. Faculty are engaged in collaborative discovery and health care improvement and bring this expertise to the classroom. The PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) professional degree program provides students with the education and training necessary to become a pharmacist. The graduate program for MS and PhD in the Pharmaceutical Sciences trains students to become highly skilled p...harmaceutical science researchers in biomembrane science, drug development science, and health outcomes. We offer the only online degree track focusing on the design, evaluation and control of cosmetic products.
After an extensive self-study, the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program was fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) in 2014 for a full eight year term.
