Description: Atrium Health has an immediate Clinical Pharmacist opening for the Navicent Health Antimicrobial Support Network (ASN). The Atrium Health ASN is a comprehensive antimicrobial stewardship program focusing on enhancing antimicrobial use throughout Atrium Health Facilities in the Charlotte Metro Area and Navicent Health facilities in Macon, GA. The ASN provides antimicrobial stewardship clinical services for all acute care clinical facilities in Charlotte Metro area and at The Medical Center of Georgia in Macon, GA. The Medical Center of Georgia is a 637-bed, Level 1 Trauma and Academic Teaching Medical Center located in Macon, GA. The Medical Center is affiliated with Mercer University School of Medicine.
The ASN Clinical Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care through ASN patient review and clinical rounds. The Clinical Pharmacist provides ASN services for the assigned core group in a coordinated effort with the ASN Medical Director. Other responsibilities include serving as a resource for facility pharmacists and other healthcare professionals regarding antimicrobial-related therapy.
Key Responsibilities: •Participates in the provision of pharmaceutical care through ASN staffing and clinical rounds •Participates in direct ASN patient care clinical activities for Navicent Health •Participates in ASN care center specific education for teammates and healthcare professionals in the care center •Assists with the implementation of identified ASN pharmacy initiatives as applicable to the ASN care center •Serves as a liaison to the other health care providers in the ASN care center •Assists with collection of statistical data for the ASN pharmaceutical care center and documents ASN clinical interventions per procedure
Qualifications: Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD) from an accredited college of Pharmacy and licensure by GA Board of Pharmacy required. Two years as a clinical pharmacist with experience in antimicrobial stewardship. Successful completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY-2 Infectious Disease Pharmacy Residency is preferred.
