Pharmacist Career Opportunities
We are seeking dynamic and motivated Pharmacists to join our team! We are a multi-campus department that serves a diverse patient population. A position with us offers opportunity for learning and growth for those who want to continue expanding their skills. We offer full time, part time, and per diem opportunities!
The pharmacist role consists of both clinical and operational responsibilities. Depending on the specialty, clinical responsibilities may include rounding with the specialty team, performing medication reconciliation, order verification, pharmacotherapy, therapeutic drug monitoring, involvement with transitions of care activities including coordinating discharge medications and patient education. Operational responsibilities may include staffing the pharmacy or pharmacy satellite, overseeing medication distribution and pharmacy technicians.
Teaching is also an integral component of the program as UCSF Medical Center is closely affiliated with the UCSF School of Pharmacy (SOP). Employees have the opportunity to teach Doctor of Pharmacy students in SOP courses and precept Doctor of Pharmacy students and residents on rotations.

Experience in a hospital setting, may include one year residency in hospital or clinical pharmacy practice and/or one year supervisory, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays
Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent
Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 Specialty Residency or equivalent previous experience in Solid Organ Transplant, Pediatrics, Adult Surgical-Onc, OB/Labor & Delivery
