This position is the clinical pharmacy lead for the Parkland Hospitalist Services. This service consists of 65 Attending Faculty (increasing to 70) along with Advance Practice Providers and an average census of 300 patients on 21 teams. The service is supported 24/7 by clinical staff pharmacists and additional pharmacy specialists (Pain, Infectious Diseases, Critical Care, etc) within the department. The CPS participates in activities such as rounding, attending service quality, safety, and performance improvement meetings.
The pharmacist will also have responsibilities precepting PGY1 residents and pharmacy students from different schools of pharmacy in Texas. Along with clinical responsibilities, the pharmacist will also be a part of formulary management, research opportunities, and other pharmacy department related projects.
Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency is required. Prefer, but not limited to, ASHP accredited PGY2 internal medicine specialty residency as well.
