The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy invites applications for a 12-month non tenure track and tenure track position at the rank of Clinical/Assistant Professor. Opportunities exist on the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The candidate will be required to develop and maintain a clinical practice and function as a liaison between the School of Pharmacy and clinical practice site. On the Oxford campus, collaboration opportunities exist with the faculty, staff, and graduate students in the Department of Pharmacy Administration, with its emphases in the areas of pharmacy management, pharmaceutical marketing, and health outcomes. In addition, other outpatient settings exist for ambulatory care practice. On the Jackson campus, opportunities exist in adult internal medicine, oncology and other specialty areas. The exact emphasis on responsibilities is flexible and will be tailored to meet the individual professional goals of the candidate and as agreed upon by the candidate and department chair.
The successful candidate must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited School/College of Pharmacy with residency and or fellowship, be licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a pharmacist by the State of Mississippi. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to teaching, service, and scholarship, and competence as a clinician. Board certification is encouraged if research is conducted at a clinical practice site.
