The Department of Pharmacy Practice of Mercer University College of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, 12 month, tenure-track faculty position. The successful candidate will contribute to the education and service missions of the department, college, and university and develop an externally funded program of research related to health outcomes, health economics, and/or health policy.
The College of Pharmacy is located on Mercer University’s Cecil B. Day Campus in Atlanta, GA and is one of four health-professional academic units within the Mercer University, which is classified as Carnegie Foundation as a R2 (Higher Research Activity) institution. The Department of Pharmacy Practice has 24 faculty members, both research-intensive and clinical, and a comprehensive network of outstanding adjunct faculty. A partnership with one of the region’s largest health care organizations and local pharmaceutical industry, which will provide a “laboratory” for ongoing research and offers unique opportunities for collaboration
Candidates with expertise and research experience in health outcomes, health economics, and/or health policy will be considered. The successful candidate will possess an earned doctorate (e.g. Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D.) and will have completed appropriate post-graduate training or have similar background and experience. Desirable qualifications include an established record of success in publication and in obtaining research funding.
