The Department of Pharmacy Practice of Mercer University College of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, 12 month, non-tenure-track faculty position in internal medicine. Rank will be determined based on the credentials of the final candidate. The main responsibilities will be to teach in the Doctor of Pharmacy Program in both the didactic and experiential components and to develop a clinical practice at a large health-system of Metro Atlanta. Additional, responsibilities include practice site and college service and scholarship.
The College of Pharmacy is located on Mercer University’s Cecil B. Day Campus in Atlanta, GA and is one of four health-professional academic units within the Mercer University, which is classified as Carnegie Foundation as a R2 (Higher Research Activity) institution. The Department of Pharmacy Practice has 24 faculty members, both research-intensive and clinical, and a comprehensive network of outstanding adjunct faculty. A partnership with one of the region’s largest health care organizations and local pharmaceutical industry, which will provide a “laboratory” for ongoing research and offers unique opportunities for collaboration.
PharmD with PGY1, and preferable PGY2 residency or equivalent experience. Candidates with prior teaching experience are preferred.
