Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH) is a tertiary care hospital in the Yale-New Haven Health System. YNHH centers of excellence include oncology, pediatrics, pulmonology, cardiology, and women's health. YNHH serves as the primary teaching site for Yale University Schools of Medicine and Nursing. New Haven is located on the shoreline of Connecticut (Long Island Sound), a two hour drive from New York City and Boston. Located in scenic New England, Yale-New Haven Hospital is spread out on 2 campuses within walking distance of each other. The Pharmacy Department that serves both campuses is progressive, providing decentralized clinical services, automation, USP 797 sterile preparation, and support to numerous ambulatory clinics and a 125-bed skilled nursing facility.

PSYCHIATRY (1 Position):
The Psychiatric pharmacy residency at YNHH offers opportunities for direct patient care, research, and teaching activities in an academic inpatient psychiatric setting. The program consists of rotations on adult, geriatric, child/adolescent and substance dependence inpatient units. Additionally, the resident will practice in specialty areas that include emergency services, psychiatry consult liaison services and neurology. The resident will gain teaching experience workng with APPE pharmacy students and PGY1 general practice pharmacy residents. Residents are encouraged to participate in an optional teaching certificate program offered through the University of Connecticut.
HEALTH-SYSTEM PHARMACY ADMINISTRATION AND LEADERSHIP (2 positions):
The PGY2 residency program is designed to support pharmacists interested in pursuing high-level managerial, supervisory, and leadership positions in an institutional pharmacy practice setting. Areas of instruction include financial systems and human resources management, pharmacoeconomics/outcomes research, and health systems operation and design. Residents will gain experience implementing pharmacy management theory and build a strong foundation for continued growth in management and leadership skills. The resident will have the opportunity to participate in a teaching certificate program and serve as a preceptor for PGY1 residents.
Applications accepted through Phorcas and must include 3 letters of recommendation, CV and letter of intent. Completion of PGY1 pharmacy residency required. Must be eligible for CT pharmacist licensure.
