The ambulatory care residency program is a one-year specialty residency, currently in ASHP pre-candidate status, that offers in-depth ambulatory care training in a variety of practice areas including primary care, cardiology, anticoagulation, endocrinology & diabetes, nephrology, medication therapy management, and transitions of care. The resident will also have required experiences in research, teaching, and practice management and development, and at least 2 elective experiences with many opportunities in the diverse practice areas seen at UK HealthCare and its partner organizations. The ambulatory care resident will provide staffing support through the Meds-to-Beds transitions of care program and providing support to the health system-wide medication therapy management program.
Applicants are required to be on track to complete an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency or have an adequate residency equivalent in practice.
