The Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist provides professional pharmaceutical services in the pediatric inpatient setting to patients, healthcare providers, and hospital staff. Clinical service areas: NICU, PICU, CICU and Cardiac Stepdown. Central staffing (order processing and medication distribution) is required. The Clinical Pharmacist ensures optimal pharmaceutical therapy outcomes and prospectively develops pharmaceutical plans and medication therapy education for each patient. All activities are done in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations with the health and welfare of the patient paramount.
Graduate from an accredited ACPE school of pharmacy is required
Previous experience with pediatric patients in a hospital setting is required
Current license or license eligible to practice as a registered pharmacist in Texas
CPR - BLS is required, PALS required within 90 days
